Introduces the study of the surgical process, including aspects of the operating room environment. Highlights preparing the patient for surgery, including transporting, positioning, and special preparation procedure. Presents physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient, including ethical and legal rights of the patient.
Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
