Teaches the alpha/numeric keyboard with emphasis on correct techniques, speed, and accuracy. Teaches formatting of basic personal and business correspondence, reports and tablulation. A laboratory co-requisite (AST 103) may be required.
Lecture 2-4 hours per week.

| AST 101-R01B is a hybrid class. It will meet in the classroom for half of the time.The classroom meeting dates: Jan. 12, 19, 26; Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23; Mar. 2, 9, 23, 30; Apr. 6, 20, 27; and May 4; with final exam on May 6. The remainder of the course work will be done online. Blackboard courses are made available the first week of classes starting Jan. 11.
