Prepares student for certification as a Virginia and National Registry EMT/B. Includes all aspects of pre- hospital basic life support as defined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's National curriculum for Emergency Medicine Technician/Basic. Prerequisite: CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level.
Lecture 4 hours. Laboratory 4 hours. Total 8 hours per week.
