- ELE 126 - Electricity and Shop Power Distribution
- Teaches basic electricity and shop power distribution systems to acquaint the industrial machine mechanic with the nature and requirements of electrical power and machinery. Includes the nature of electricity, basic DC and AC circuits, power requirements, protection systems, basic measurements and safety precautions. May require preparation of a report as an out-of-class activity.Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 3 hours per week.2 credits
- ELE 133 - Practical Electricity I
- Teaches the fundamentals of electricity, terminology, symbols, and diagrams. Includes the principles essential to the understanding of general practices, safety and the practical aspects of residential and non-residential wiring and electrical installation, including fundamentals of motors and controls. - ELE 140 - Basic Electricity and Machinery
- Studies direct and alternating current principles, resistors, magnetism, capacitors, protection systems, switches, controls and power distribution for industrial machine shops. Emphasizes test procedures and safety.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 5 hours per week.4 credits
- ELE 156 - Electrical Control Systems
