Instrumentation (INS) at Lord Fairfax Community College

INS 195 - Topics In: Provides an opportunity to explore topical areas of interest to or needed by students.

May be used also for special honors courses. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.

INS 199 - Supervised Study: Assigns problems for independent study incorporating previous instruction and supervised by the instructor.

May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.

INS 210 - Principles of Instrumentation: Introduces the basic concepts and terminology of process control systems. Presents types of control systems, applicable component elements, basic control analysis, and documentation requirements for measuring instruments and signal conditioning.

Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.

3-4 credits
INS 299 - Supervised Study: Assigns problems for independent study incorporating previous instruction and supervised by the instructor.

May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
