CRF 159 - Introduction to Fine Woodworking
Introduces wood as a medium for realizing their designs. Includes the milling technique, mortise and tenon joinery, surface preparation, and application of oil finishes. Students learn safe use of the radial arm saw, jointer, planer, table saw, band saw, drill press, horizontal boring machine, and router.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
