Covers fundamental process and physical metallurgy of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Includes formation of metals into various shapes and products, heat-treating processes, casting, powder metallurgy, and testing of materials. Also covers non-metal engineering materials such as ceramics, polymers, and organics.
Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 5-6 hours per week.
