- EMT 105 - First Responder

Prepares the students for certification as a Virginia First Responder. Includes all aspects of pre-hospital basic life support as defined by the Department of Transportation National Curriculum. Includes oxygen administration and resuscitation devices, automated External Defribrillation, and basic splinting of musculoskeletal injuries. Prerequisite: Current CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level.
Lecture 1-3 hours. Laboratory 0-2 hours. Total 3-5 hours per week.
