EMT 178 - EMT - Intermediate I
Prepares the student for Virginia and National Registry Intermediate certification. Includes the theory and application of the following: cardiovascular and lymphatic anatomy and physiology, dysrhythmia recognition, cardiovascular, pharmacology, assessment, documentation, communications, and definitive management. Reinforces the theory and application of prerequisite courses. (Conforms to the 1998 Department of Transportation Curriculum for EMT-Intermediate/Paramedics.) Prerequisite: EMT 176.
Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4-5 hours per week.
