Develops skills in instructional design, delivery and evaluation. Includes: principles of adult learning and student learning styles; development of instructional objectives; preparation of lesson plans, preparation and use of instructional aids, class participation techniques, practical skill instruction, providing student feedback and evaluating performance. Meets the Standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Emergency Medical Services Instructor Training Program.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
