Prepares EMT for the role of EMT-Paramedic. Conforms to Department of Transportation curriculum for EMT-Paramedics. Includes the prehospital environment, anatomy and physiology, airway management, patient assessment, shock and IV therapy, genral and cardiovascular pharmacology, cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies, and anaphylaxis. Prepares the student for American Heart Asssociation Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completion. Co-requisite
EMT 261 and
EMT 290.
