HLT 232 - Healthy and Active Classrooms
Analyzes teaching tools and learning styles to enable K-5 educators to instruct health concepts and integrate physical activity into the classroom. Emphasis is placed on developing and demonstrating engaging, grade-appropriate activities that meet school curricula standards and address current issues in health and activity. Strategies for promoting activity and healthful behaviors within the school and community are also discussed.
Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.
