NUR 221 - Second Level Nursing Principles and Concepts
Focuses on nursing care of individuals, families, and/or groups with multidimensional needs in a variety of settings. Uses all components of the nursing process with increasing degrees of skill. Includes math computational skills, basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care and nursing care related to infectious, immunological, oncological, hematological, gastrointestinal, vascular, sensory, genitourinary musculoskeletal, regulatory, endocrine, and women's health disorders and pre/intra/post operative care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies.
Lecture 1-9 hours. Laboratory 2-27 hours. Total 11-28 hours per week.
9-10 credits
