NUR 271 - Essential Nursing Concepts III
Focuses on complex nursing care of individuals, families and/or groups in various stages of development who are experiencing alterations related to their biopsychosocial needs. Uses all components of the nursing process with increasing degrees of skill. Includes math computation skills, basic computer instruction related to the delivery of nursing care with patients having altered transport to and from cells related to anemia, hemophilia, hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, cystic fibrosis; abnormal proliferation and maturation of cells related to cancer. Provides supervised learning experience in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 6 hours. Total 8 hours per week.
Prerequisite: NUR 270.
