Apply interpreting fundamentals. Interpret dialogs between spoken English and ASL users. Analyze interpretations by using a Process Model of Interpreting. Conduct research. Practice team interpreting skills in an interactive interpreting environment. Prepare for the interactive nature of standard interpreting evaluations. Prerequisite(s)-Co-requisites:
SCM 212 and
SCM 232 or
SCM 233 and
SCM 234.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
