BUS 270 - Interpersonal Dynamics
Focuses on intra- and interpersonal communication effectiveness in the business organization. Includes topics such as planning and running effective meetings, networking and politicking, coaching and mentoring, making effectual and ethical decisions, developing team-building strategies, and practicing proficient skills in verbal, non-verbal, and written communications.

Half of your work is done individually on your own time and the other half is done with a team, which meets weekly to go through assigned topics (normally about 30 minutes). In addition your team will have two team presentations that you will need to prepare and present. These team meetings can take place at the day and time that the team chooses. The presentations will be on a Monday evening Zoom.
This course will consist of asynchronous online, anytime coursework, AND one or both of the following scheduled on campus in-person meetings and/or virtual meetings via Zoom. Faculty will inform students about the in-person, Zoom, and Online dates required in the syllabus and class notes. Students may be required to take at least one proctored assessment, faculty will inform students of the proctored assessment requirements in the syllabus and class notes. Instructors may require a webcam and microphone for audio and video capabilities.
During the summer semester, you will meet with me via Zoom on four Mondays at 6:30pm. These meetings are normally an hour and a half. The first one is to cover the syllabus, materials and expectations, the second is to have Team Meeting 1 with me leading the discussion, the third is for a team presentation and the fourth is for the final exam.
