MEN 101 - Mental Health Skill Training I
Develops skills necessary to function as a mental health worker, with emphasis on guided practice in counseling skills as well as improved self-awareness. Includes training in problem-solving, goal-setting, and implementation of appropriate strategies and evaluation techniques relating to interaction involving a variety of client needs. Part I of II.

This course is part of a project called Follett ACCESS. The cost for the course materials for this class is $80.50. The electronic course materials will be available to students in Canvas when the course begins. Students will be billed for tuition, fees, and required course materials.
This course meets through web conferencing software at the times indicated in the course schedule. Student attendance requirements are specified in the course syllabus and class notes. Students may be required to take at least one proctored assessment, faculty will inform students of the proctored assessment requirements in the syllabus and class notes. Instructors may require a webcam and microphone for audio and video capabilities.

This synchronous hybrid class meets online on Mondays 6:30 - 8:50 p.m. over Zoom. Your instructor will facilitate live online lectures and discussions. Attendance via Zoom is a required component of the course. Students must complete activities in Canvas outside of class due to reduced class meeting times. Regular weekly assignments with established due dates are provided in Canvas. Students may attend class from anywhere using a computer or mobile device. Reliable internet access and a Zoom-capable device are required.
