NSG 100 - Introduction to Nursing Concepts
Introduces concepts of nursing practice and conceptual learning. Focuses on basic nursing concepts with an emphasis on safe nursing practice and the development of the nursing process. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories, clinical/community settings, and/or simulated environments.
Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
Prerequisites: BIO 141 or BIO 231 or NAS 161

"VS" sections meet at the days/times listed in the Days & Times section of SIS. Attendance requirements are specified by the instructor and can be found in the notes section in SIS. You will need a webcam and microphone for audio and video capabilities. Students may be required to take at least one proctored assessment. The assessment may be given using one of BRCC?s remote proctoring services, such as Respondus Lockdown Browser and Video Monitoring and/or Zoom. This course is part of a project called IncludEd, in which student tuition and fees include the cost of required course materials. The cost for the course materials for this class is $300.65. The electronic course materials will be available to students in Canvas when the course begins. Starting July 1st, students will be billed for both tuition and required electronic course materials.
