The Associate of Applied Science in Associate of Applied Science Degree Advanced Manufacturing Technology: Manufacturing Biotechnology is part of the Manufacturing Engineering Technology/Technician program at Blue Ridge Community College

The Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing Bio-Technology Specialization combines biology and operational technology. The curriculum includes basic mechanical and electrical skills with a focus on bioprocessing methods and technologies plus process improvement. Terminal degree preparing one for the pharmaceutical, food processing industries and healthcare facilities and related fabrication and service operations. Potential jobs include vaccine operator/technician, quality control technician and cleanroom/contamination control technician.
