MTH 245 - Statistics I
Presents an overview of statistics, including descriptive statistics, elementary probability, probability distributions, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, and linear regression. Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 155: Statistical Reasoning and MTH 245: Statistics I or equivalent. This is a Passport Transfer course.
Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.
Prerequisite: Completion of MTH 154 or MTH 161 or equivalent with a grade of C or better.

Hybrid - This course combines real-time instruction (days/times established) using Zoom (desktop web-conferencing software) and online instruction (using Canvas). Students who enroll in this course should contact Distance Ed at 434.832.7745 with any questions. Class sessions are recorded and with proper equipment and training, students may connect from off campus or in 3206. Students may be required to supply their ear buds with webcam or headset/mic to participate in this class from home. Proctored testing required.
