Major: Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology at Central Virginia Community College


The Associate of Applied Science in Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology is part of the Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiographer program at Central Virginia Community College

The purpose of the program is to educate motivated students in the areas required to become a registered radiographer. Required areas include technical and mechanical skills, patient care, medical knowledge, radiation knowledge, and appropriate work habits. Upon successful completion of the program, the student is eligible to sit the national registry examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The CVCC program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT*)which is the only agency recognized by the US Department of Education for the accreditation of educational programs in radiography, radiation therapy, magnetic resonance, and medical dosimetry.
