Introduces practical operations in the use of tungsten arc welding and equipment. Studies equipment operation setup, safety, and practice of Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG).
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to assist students in developing job skills needed to enter the work force in the welding occupation and to acquire the skills necessary to find employment as a TIG welder.
