Includes principles of program planning in the recreation setting. Analyzes participants' needs and demands, as well as social, physical, and psychological characteristics. Explains how to organize and lead programs. Includes a leadership practicum.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

To provide the student who is planning a career in Recreation Management with an understanding of how to develop the necessary facilities, equipment, records and reports involved in recreation programming, and to gain skills and knowledge in leadership for recreation services.
