WEL 125 - Shielded Metal Arc Welding Capstone at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College

Continuation of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) instruction with emphasis on taking the American Welding Society's all position SMAW qualification test and continued instruction in carbon arc gouging.
Lecture 0-1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours.Total 3-4 hours per week.
1-2 credits

General Course Purpose

To serve as a SMAW capstone course for students entering structural field welding. Students must pass the AWS all position structural qualification test to pass this course.
