Provides students an opportunity to implement classroom learning in a structured health care setting. Focuses on using the nursing process to plan and implement safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Laboratory 6 hours. Total 6 hours per week.
2 credits

General Course Purpose

This course is for the beginning practical nursing student to engage in direct patient care with adults and elderly patients in a long-term care and/or assisted-living environment. The student will begin using critical thinking with application of skills and knowledge for care of individuals across the lifespan.
