PNG 220 - Patient-Centered Care III at Reynolds Community College

Course Description

Provides an overview of the identified general concepts to implement patient-centered care. Introduces concepts of intracranial regulation, clotting, cellular regulation, cognition, mood and affect, psychosis, and care coordination. Expands knowledge of perfusion, gas exchange pain, and lifelong learning. Focuses on the role of the practical nurse in health promotion and maintenance.
Lecture 4 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

This course is for practical nursing students to continue to expand their understanding of patient care concepts to enhance safe, evidence-based health promotion and care, demonstrating academic application of concepts to health care maintenance.

Prerequisites: PNG 210, Patient-Centered Care II and PNG 215, Patient-Centered Care II Clinical Corequisite: PNG 225, Patient-Centered Care III Clinical
