Introduces students to basic equipment, safety, and processes useful in the fabrication of welded ornamental objects.
Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

General Course Purpose
This course provides students with knowledge and practice for creating metal sculpture, yard art, household projects, and other artistic metal work.
Course Objectives
- recognize and use proper safety procedures while welding.
- demonstrate the ability to perform correct equipment setup.
- demonstrate the ability to use oxyacetylene welding equipment.
- demonstrate the ability to use Gas Metal Arc Welding equipment.
- fabricate a project of the student?s choice.
