ENF 1 - Preparing for College English I
Provides integrated reading and writing instruction for students who require extensive preparation to succeed in college-level English courses.Students will place into this course based on placement test score. Upon successful completion and faculty recommendation, students will move into Preparing for College English III (if they require additional preparation) or into college-level English (if they require no additional preparation). Credit is not applicable toward graduation. Lecture 8 hours per week.

ENF 1-25A students must also enroll in SDV 100-N25A.
PREREQUISITE: The English placement test must be taken before enrolling in the first English course. If required by the placement results, a student must complete ENF 1 and/or ENF 2 before enrolling in ENG 111. A student may be required to co-enroll in ENF 3 and ENG 111. Students who do not satisfy course prerequisites will be removed from class.
This course will be in-person on the day(s) and at the times listed. A limited number of students are allowed to enroll in the in-person class, as the college will follow all CDC, federal, state, and college requirements at the time the class begins through the end of the course. By registering for the in-person class, students will be required to follow all established guidelines and policies for this course. Any students not willing to follow the guidelines and policies should register for courses taught fully online or remotely via Zoom instead.
