MUS 129 - Theatre/Musical Workshop
Enables students to work in various activities of a play production or a musical production including performance, orchestra, set design, stage carpentry, sound, costuming, lighting, stage managing, props, promotion, or stage crew. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours per week. This course is cross-listed with CST 136. Credit will not be awarded for both.

All participants for MUS 129 Musical Theatre Workshop will be required to audition Jan. 24-25 2020. Enrolled JTCC Students who audition will be guaranteed a production position.
NOTE: Musical Theatre Workshop is associated with JTCC's Spring Musical Production and requires specific lab hours to be arranged weekly and during production and performance weeks. Students can take the class as musicians or technicians. All participants will need to be available for evening and weekend rehearsals between Feb. 3 through Apr. 2, 2020, and all performances dates: April 3-5 and April 9-11.
NOTE: This course uses Open Educational Resources (OER) and there are $0 textbook costs.
