MUS 222 - Hist of Western Music 1750 to Present
Presents the chronology of musical styles and significant composers from the Classical Period through the Modern era. Relates the development of music from a socio-historical perspective including parallel movements within the arts. Develops techniques for listening analytically and critically to music. MUS 221 and 222 may transfer as the same course.
Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

This class is intended for AFA Majors. If you are looking for a general education music class than MUS 121 is recommended.
This course will be in-person on the day(s) and at the times listed. A limited number of students are allowed to enroll in the in-person class, as the college will follow all CDC, federal, state, and college requirements at the time the class begins through the end of the course.
