- CIV 171 - Surveying I
- Introduces surveying equipment, procedures and computations including adjustment of instruments, distance measurement, leveling, angle measurement, traversing, traverse adjustments, area computations and introduction to topography. Prerequisite: Engineering Technical Math or divisional approval.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.
3 credits - CIV 172 - Surveying II
- Introduces surveys for transportation systems including the preparation and analysis of topographic maps, horizontal and vertical curves, earthwork and other topics related to transportation construction. Prerequisite: CIV 171 or equivalent.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hour per week.
3 credits - CIV 290 - Coordinated Internship
- Supervises on-the-job training in selected business, industrial or service firms coordinated by the college.Credit/practice ratio not to exceed 1:5 hours. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
1-5 credits
