ESL 22 - ESL: Reading and Vocabulary II at Lord Fairfax Community College

Course Description

Provides instruction and practice in reading and vocabulary development at the low-intermediate level. Improves students' reading fluency, proficiency, and vocabulary to enable them to function adequately in ESL Level 3 and prepare for college-level reading. Credits are not applicable toward graduation.
3-6 credits. Lecture 3-6 hours. Total 3-6 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

To give low-intermediate students in Level 2 of the College ESL Program opportunities to improve reading fluency and develop vocabulary. Modern techniques, equipment, and materials are employed. Emphasis is placed on reading and responding to readings in written form.
