Major: Emergency Medical Services at Lord Fairfax Community College


The Associate of Applied Science in Emergency Medical Services is part of the Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic) program at Lord Fairfax Community College

This program follows the National EMS Education Standards for Paramedic. Classes include anatomy & physiology, medical and trauma topics. Skills learned include; IV access, medication administration, advance airway and electrical therapies. Graduating from the program will result in being able to sit for the National Paramedic exam. Students in this program must maintain current EMT and CPR certifications throughout the program.
