- DRF 151 - Engineering Drawing Fundamentals I
- Introduces technical drafting from the fundamentals through advanced drafting practices. Includes lettering, geometric construction, technical sketching, orthographic projection, sections, intersections, development, fasteners. Teaches theory and application of dimensioning and tolerances, pictorial drawing, and preparation of drawings. Part I of II.Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 4-6 hours. Total 5-7 hours per week.
3 credits - DRF 152 - Engineering Drawing Fundamentals II
- Introduces technical drafting from the fundamentals through advanced drafting practices. Includes lettering, geometric construction, technical sketching, orthographic projection, sections, intersections, development, fasteners. 3 credits - DRF 160 - Machine Blueprint Reading
- Introduces interpreting of various blueprints and working drawings. Applies basic principles and techniques such as visualization of an object, orthographic projection, technical sketching and drafting terminology. Requires outside preparation.Lecture 3 hours per week.
3 credits - DRF 195 - Topics In
- Provides an opportunity to explore topical areas of interest to or needed by students.May be used also for special honors courses. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
1-5 credits - DRF 200 - Survey of Computer Aided Drafting
- Surveys computer-aided drafting equipment and concepts. Develops general understanding of components, operations and use of a typical CAD system.Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.
3-4 credits - DRF 201 - Computer Aided Drafting and Design I
- Teaches computer-aided drafting concepts and equipment designed to develop a general understanding of components of a typical CAD system and its operation.Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.
3-4 credits - DRF 231 - Computer Aided Drafting I
- Teaches computer aided drafting concepts and equipment designed to develop a general understanding of components and operate a typical CAD system.Lecture 1-2 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 3-5 hours per week.
2-3 credits - DRF 232 - Computer Aided Drafting II
- Teaches advanced operation in computer aided drafting.Lecture 1-2 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 3-5 hours per week.
2-3 credits - DRF 233 - Computer Aided Drafting III
- Exposes student to 3-D and modeling. Focuses on proficiency in Production drawing using a CAD system.Lecture 1-2 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 3-5 hours per week.
2-3 credits - DRF 290 - Coordinated Internship
- Supervises on-the-job training in selected business, industrial or service firms coordinated by the college.Credit/practice ratio not to exceed 1:5 hours. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
1-5 credits - DRF 295 - Topics In
- Provides an opportunity to explore topical areas of interest to or needed by students.May be used also for special honors courses. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
