- Supervises in on-the-job training for pay in approved business, industrial and service firms, coordinated by the college's cooperative education office. Is applicable to all occupational- technical curricula at the discretion of the college.Credit/work ratio not to exceed 1:5 hours. May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
1-5 credits - DRF 98 - Seminar and Project
- Requires completion of a project or research report related to the student's occupational objectives and a study of approaches to the selection and pursuit of career opportunities in the field.May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.

- Assigns problems for independent study incorporating previous instruction and supervised by the instructor.May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
1-5 credits - DRF 111 - Technical Drafting I
- Introduces technical drafting from the fundamentals through advanced drafting practices. Teaches lettering, metric construction, technical sketching, orthographic projection, sections, intersections, development, fasteners, theory and applications of dimensioning and tolerances. Includes pictorial drawing, and preparation of working and detailed drawings. Part I of II.Lecture 1-2 hours. Laboratory 2-6 hours. Total 3-7 hours per week.
2-3 credits - DRF 112 - Technical Drafting II
- Introduces technical drafting from the fundamentals through advanced drafting practices. 2-3 credits - DRF 135 - Electrical/Electronics Blueprint Reading
- Presents an interpretation of basic shop drawings, conventional symbols, terminology, and principles used by the mechanical draftsman. Explains common electrical and electronic symbols, wiring diagrams, schematic drawing, and application of wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and application of wiring diagrams.Lecture 2 hours per week.
2 credits - DRF 160 - Machine Blueprint Reading
- Introduces interpreting of various blueprints and working drawings. Applies basic principles and techniques such as visualization of an object, orthographic projection, technical sketching and drafting terminology. Requires outside preparation.Lecture 3 hours per week.
3 credits - DRF 161 - Blueprint Reading I
- Teaches the application of basic principles, visualization, orthographic projection, detail of drafting shop processes and terminology, assembly drawings and exploded views. Considers dimensioning, changes and corrections, classes of fits, tolerances and allowances, sections and convention in blueprint reading.Lecture 0-1 hours. Laboratory 0-3 hours. Total 1-4 hours per week.
1-2 credits - DRF 166 - Welding Blueprint Reading
- Teaches welding nomenclature and applications. Stresses structural steel, design, layout. Explains industrial symbols.Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
2 credits - DRF 175 - Schematics and Mechanical Diagrams
- Covers interpretation of basic shop drawings, conventional symbols, common electrical and electronics symbols, wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic symbols, schematic drawings, and piping diagrams.Lecture 2 hours per week.
2 credits - DRF 190 - Coordinated Internship
