MEC 140 - Introduction to Mechatronics
Presents foundational concepts in mechatronics including analog and digital electronics, sensors, actuators, microprocessors, and microprocessor interfacing to electromechanical systems. Surveys components and measurement equipment used in the design, installation, and repair of mechatronic equipment and circuits. This course is cross-listed with ETR 140. Credit will not be awarded for both.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

The lecture portion of this course is asynchronous, online and student must submit assignments by the specific due dates. Lab days/times are open lab periods. Students can attend lab any time between 8:30am-11:30am and 1:00pm-4:00pm Monday through Thursday. A MINIMUM of 4 hours in the lab is required per week. Students MUST attend lab during the first week or be dropped from the course.
