Major: Certificate in Pipe Welding at Mountain Gateway Community College
The Certificate in Certificate in Pipe Welding is part of the Welding Technology/Welder program at Mountain Gateway Community College
Pipe Welders join and repair metal tube or pipe components and assemblies as part of the construction of structures, boilers, and stand-alone pipelines. They use a variety of welding processes and equipment, in a wide range of industrial and commercial environments. Because pipes are routinely set up in fixed positions and situated in ways that make welding difficult, pipe welders must be well trained and versatile. As such, they are among the most highly skilled and sought after welders. Students also learn safety, occupational English and math, metallurgy, and blueprint reading.
