- CAD 140 - Technical Drawing
- Enhances the principles learned that are related directly to the field of drafting and design. Gives a more in-depth exposure to detail and working drawings, dimensioning, tolerancing and conventional drafting practices. Teaches CAD modeling, may include parametric modeling. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 140 and DRF 140.)Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - CAD 152 - Engineering Drawing Fundamentals II
- Introduces technical drafting from the fundamentals through advanced drafting practices. Includes lettering, geometric construction, technical sketching, orthographic projection, sections, intersections, development, fasteners. Teaches theory and application of dimensioning and tolerances, pictorial drawing, and preparation of drawings. Part II of II. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 152 and DRF 152.)Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 4-6 hours. Total 5-7 hours per week.
3 credits - CAD 165 - Architectural Blueprint Reading
- Emphasizes reading, understanding and interpreting standard types of architectural drawings including plans, elevation, sections and details. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 165 and DRF 165.)Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - CAD 175 - Schematics and Mechanical Diagrams
- Covers interpretation of basic shop drawings, conventional symbols, common electrical and electronics symbols, wiring diagrams, hydraulic and pneumatic symbols, schematic drawings, and piping diagrams. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 175 and DRF 175.)Lecture 2 hours per week.
2 credits - CAD 195 - Topics In (discipline)
- Provides an opportunity to explore topic areas of an evolving nature or of short-term importance in the discipline.Variable hours per week.
1-5 credits - CAD 197 - Cooperative Education In (discipline)
- Provides on the job training for pay in approved business, industrial and service firms. Applies to all career-technical curricula at the discretion of the college. Credit/work ratio not to exceed 1:5 hours.Variable hours per week.
1-5 credits - CAD 198 - Seminar and Project In (discipline)
- Requires completion of a project or research report related to the student's occupational objective and a study of approaches to the selection and pursuit of career opportunities in the field.Variable hours per week.
1-5 credits - CAD 201 - Computer Aided Drafting and Design I
- Teaches computer-aided drafting concepts and equipment designed to develop a general understanding of components of a typical CAD system and its operation. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 201 and DRF 201.)Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.
3-4 credits - CAD 202 - Computer Aided Drafting and Design II
- Teaches production drawings and advanced operations in computer aided drafting. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 202 and DRF 202.)Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.
3-4 credits - CAD 203 - Computer Aided Drafting and Design III
- Teaches advanced CAD applications. Includes customization and/or use of advanced software. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 203 and DRF 203.)Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.
3-4 credits - CAD 233 - Computer Aided Drafting III
- Exposes students to 3-D and modeling. Focuses on proficiency in Production drawing using a CAD system. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 233 and DRF 233.)Lecture 1-2 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 3-5 hours per week.
2-3 credits - CAD 238 - Computer Aided Modeling and Rendering I
- Focuses on training students in the contemporary techniques of 3D modeling, rendering, and animation on the personal computer. Introduces the principles of visualization, sometimes known as photo-realism, which enables the student to create presentation drawings for both architectural and industrial product design. Uses computer animation to produce walk-throughs that will bring the third dimension to architectural designs. Part I of II. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 238 and DRF 238.)Lecture 1-2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 3-4 hours per week.

2-3 credits - CAD 241 - Parametric Solid Modeling I
- Focuses on teaching students the design of parts by parametric solid modeling. Topics covered will include, but not limited to, sketch profiles; geometric and dimensional constraints; 3-D features; model generation by extrusion, revolution and sweep; and the creation of 2-D drawing views that include sections, details and auxiliary. Part I of II. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 241 and DRF 241.)Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 2-3 hours. Total 4-6 hours per week.
3-4 credits - CAD 260 - Computer Applications for Surveyors and Technicians
- Studies and evaluates numerous COGO software and associated drafting packages. Includes calculations and drafting of traverse adjustment, subdivision, and curves. (Credit will not be awarded for both CAD 260 and DRF 260.)Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
