A remote synchronous class about the art of acting for the camera. Students will complete weekly assignments based on the lecture material posted online in Canvas all in exploring the techniques of film acting and the business of acting in the film industry. Though there is a portion of the class devoted to learning acting, the majority of the class is understanding the role of the actor as it pertains to the industry. Students will post their own acting work online for review by their peers and learn the proper methods for auditioning remotely and securing employment as an actor, including feedback. Zoom sessions will last approximately one hour each week and will be devoted to time working with your peers in understanding the art of acting. The course fulfills one of the electives of the Cinema AFA degree. Hybrid Course |
