MUS 136 - Applied Music-Voice
Teaches singing, proper breath control, diction, and development of tone. Studies the standard vocal repertoire. Private lessons are available for either 1 or 2 hours of credit per semester. The length of the lessons will be 1/2 hour for 1 hour credit and 1 hour for 2 hours credit per semester. All courses in applied music may be repeated for a total of 8 hours for the major and 4 hours for the minor. One or two half-hour lessons per week. Four to eight hours practice required.
Laboratory 4-8 hours per week. Total 4-8 hours per week.

MUS136 Voice: Classical, Jazz, and Pop. This section is internet-based and requires students to be available online on the days and times that are agreed upon between the student and the applied music instructor. Your instructor will facilitate live lectures remotely using audio and video. Reliable internet access and a Zoom-capable device is required. For all applied music classes at Loudoun, sign up for the instructor who teaches the instrument you wish to learn. First lesson must occur during the first week of class. Recital and Jury Date for non-auditing students is TBD. Applied music classes have a fee in addition to tuition: 100 Level, 1 credit hour classes $375 per semester, for a total of 7.5 hours. These fees will not be refunded after the census date
