Introduces operation of human machine interface devices (HMI), hardware configuration, software programming and programmable logic controller network configuration of HMI devices. Offers troubleshooting practices concerning HMI devices used in industrial machine applications.
Credits - 2. Lecture - 1 hour. Lab - 2 hours. Total Contact Hours - 3 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

Teaches the student to operate, set-up and program human machine interface (HMI) devices. Students learn programming through the use of OEM specific application software. Also teaches troubleshooting of HMI devices and systems.

Prerequisite: ELE 233 or equivalent
