Examines installation, programming, interfacing, and concepts of troubleshooting programmable controllers.
Lecture 1 - 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 3 - 4 hours per week. 2 - 3 Credits

General Course Purpose

This course an introductory course that explores many aspects of PLC's. The students are taught the basic concepts and progress to system level applications. This course emphasizes the PLC's practical use in industry. This course teaches the most common programmable logic controller functions and provides examples using the Allen-Bradley small logic controllers. Various configu rations and options will be discussed and demonstrated during the course.
