- MTH 1 - Developmental Mathematics
- Designed to bridge the gap between a weak mathematical foundation and the knowledge necessary for the study of mathematics courses in technical, professional, and transfer program. Topics may include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Credits not applicable toward graduation.Variable hours per week.
1-5 credits - MTH 1 - Occupational Mathematics
- Introduces contextualized mathematics concepts for specific occupational fields of study in order to make direct connections between basic skills and their applications to a career field. Topics may include arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry. Credits not applicable toward graduation and completion does not satisfy specific MTE modules.Lecture 1-3 hours. Total 1-3 hours per week.
Corequisite: Requires enrollment in an entry level course of an occupational program as defined as career/technical education.1 credits - MTH 3 - Bundle 1-3 - Operations with Fractions, Decimals, and Percents and Algebra Basics
- Includes operations and problem solving with proper fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers without the use of a calculator; operations and problem solving with positive decimals and percents; basic operations with algebraic expressions and solving simple algebraic equations using signed numbers. Emphasizes applications and includes U. S. customary and metric units of measure. Credit is not applicable toward graduation.Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.
Prerequisites: Qualifying placement score3 credits - MTH 5 - Bundle 4-5 - First Degree Equations and Inequalities and Systems of Linear Equations
- Includes solving first degree equations and inequalities containing one variable, and using them to solve application problems. Emphasizes applications and problem solving. Includes finding the equation of a line, graphing linear equations and inequalities in two variables and solving systems of two linear equations. Emphasizes writing and graphing equations using the slope of the line and points on the line, and applications. Credit is not applicable toward graduation.Lecture 2 hours. Total 2 hours per week.
Prerequisites: MTE 1-3 or qualifying placement score2 credits - MTH 7 - Developmental Trigonometry
- Covers topics including right triangles, oblique triangles, identity applications. Develops the mathematical proficiency necessary for curriculum entrance. Credits not applicable toward graduation. Placement recommendation for MTH 07 and Algebra I and Algebra II equivalent.Variable hours per week.
1-5 credits - MTH 9 - Bundle 6-9 - Exponents, Factoring, Poly Equations, Rational Expressions and ...
- Includes performing operations on exponential expressions and polynomials, factoring polynomials, solving polynomial equations, simplifying rational algebraic expressions, solving rational algebraic equations, simplifying radical expressions, using rational exponents, solving radical equations, working with functions in different forms: ordered pair, graph, and equation form. Also introduces quadratic functions, their properties and their graphs. Emphasis should be on learning all the different factoring methods, and solving application problems using polynomial, rational and radical equations. Credit is not applicable toward graduation.Lecture 4 hours. Total 4 hours per week.

- Supervises in on-the-job training for pay in approved business, industrial and service firms, coordinated by the college's cooperative education office. - Provides a foundation in mathematics with emphasis in arithmetic, unit conversion, basic algebra, geometry and trigonometry. This course is intended for CTE programs.3 credits
- MTH 130 - Fundamentals of Reasoning
- Presents elementary concepts of algebra, linear graphing, financial literacy, descriptive statistics, and measurement & geometry. Based on college programs being supported by this course, colleges may opt to add additional topics such as logic or trigonometry. This course is intended for occupational/technical programs.Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

- Presents algebra through unit conversion, trigonometry, vectors, geometry, and complex numbers. This course is intended for CTE programs.Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

- Provides instruction, review, and drill in percentage, cash and trade discounts, mark-up, payroll, sales, property and other taxes, simple and compound interest, bank discounts, loans, investments, and annuities. - Presents topics in proportional reasoning, modeling, financial literacy and validity studies (logic and set theory). Focuses on the process of taking a real-world situation, identifying the mathematical foundation needed to address the problem, solving the problem and applying what is learned to the original situation. - Presents elementary statistical methods and concepts including visual data presentation, descriptive statistics, probability, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation and linear regression. - Presents topics in systems of equations, matrices, linear programming, mathematics of finance, counting theory, probability, and Markov Chains. - Presents topics in power, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, systems of equations, trigonometry, and trigonometric applications, including Law of Sines and Cosines, and an introduction to conics. - Introduces limits, continuity, differentiation and integration of algebraic, exponential and logarithmic functions, and techniques of integration with an emphasis on applications in business, social sciences and life sciences. - Covers techniques of integration, an introduction to differential equations and multivariable calculus, with an emphasis throughout on applications in business, social sciences and life sciences.Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.

- Continues the study of calculus of algebraic and transcendental functions including rectangular, polar, and parametric graphing, indefinite and definite integrals, methods of integration, and power series along with applications. - Focuses on extending the concepts of function, limit, continuity, derivative, integral and vector from the plane to the three dimensional space. Covers topics including vector functions, multivariate functions, partial derivatives, multiple integrals and an introduction to vector calculus. - Presents basic concepts of probability, discrete and continuous random variables, and probability distributions. Presents sampling distributions and the Central Limit Theorem, properties of point estimates and methods of estimation, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, linear models and estimation by least squares, and analysis of variance.Lecture 3 hours.
