PHT 102 - Photography II at New River Community College

Teaches principles of photography and fundamental camera techniques. Requires outside shooting and lab work. Part II of II.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

This course introduces students to 35 mm black and white film photography and teaches the techniques and processes involved in the black and white wet lab and darkroom. This course provides students with an understanding of the historic process of film photography, strengthens their understanding of camera exposure and metering, and provides an alternative medium for students to use in their commercial and artistic endeavors.
