PHT 164 - Introduction to Digital Photography at New River Community College

Teaches the fundamentals of photography including camera function, composition, and image production as they apply to digital imagery.
Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 5 hours per week.

General Course Purpose

This course introduces students to the skills necessary to capture and edit images of high quality. This course provides students with a solid foundation in digital camera usage and with a fundamental understanding of the Photoshop editing software. The concepts covered in this course will ready the student for future photographic and artistic related endeavors.
