Focuses on basic topics in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Covers internationally recognized GD&T symbols. Explains the importance of a feature control frame. Teaches the Cartesian coordinate system in relation to precision components. Examines theoretical and practical concepts of geometric controls relative to design, tooling, production, and inspection.

General Course Purpose
This course is designed to gives students a basic understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Course Objectives
- Identify GD&T symbols.
- Define feature control frame.
- Identify straightness, flatness, circularity & cylindricity.
- Demonstrate proficiencies to work with datums, parallelism, perpendicularity & angularity.
- Explain run out, profile and position tolerance.
- Use the Cartesian coordinate system.
