Focuses on the development of leadership within the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), topics include civic engagement, personal wellness, resource management, ethical considerations in leadership and research.

General Course Purpose

The purpose of this course is to prepare emergency responders, primarily emergency medical services students for their role as a leader within their agency, as well as their community. This course integrates comprehensive knowledge of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) systems, health, safety and wellness of the EMS provider; research, educational and career development.
