Provides the student with intensive review for the practical and written portions of the National Registry Paramedic exam. May be repeated once, for credit.
Laboratory 2 hours. Total 2 hours per week.

General Course Purpose
This course is designed to prepare students for the cognitive and psychomotor testing for the Paramedic certification exam after all curricular core content has been covered.
Course Objectives
- Demonstrate competency of material contained in the Paramedic curriculum
- Apply knowledge in a lab setting to depict competency in psychomotor testing requirements of Virginia Office of EMS and/or the National Registry of EMTs.
- Utilize assessment and techniques of the Paramedic provider in a laboratory setting
Major Topics to be Included
- Cognitive review of material related to topics in the Paramedic curriculum related to airway, trauma, medical, preparatory, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, special populations and Operations.
- Application of material related to topics in the Paramedic curriculum related to airway, trauma, medical, preparatory, OB/GYN, Pediatrics, special populations and Operations.
