- IND 98 - Seminar and Project
- Requires completion of a project or research report related to the student's occupational objectives and a study of approaches to the selection and pursuit of career opportunities in the field.May be repeated for credit. Variable hours.
1-5 credits - IND 103 - Industrial Methods
- Covers theoretical knowledge necessary for familiarization with common handtools, common power tools, measuring tools and techniques, fastening components and procedures, grinding operations, metal cutting operations, and other miscellaneous tasks.Lecture 1-2 hours per week.
1-2 credits - IND 108 - Technical Computer Applications
- Develops data entry proficiency for technical application and word processing as applied to technology. Presents an introduction to computer operating systems as related to technical applications. Includes demonstrations of selected technical topics such as CAD, CNC, Graphic illustration I/O's involving PLC's, telecommunications (modems), and process control.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 115 - Materials and Processes of Industry
- Studies materials and processes for the manufacture of products. Investigates the nature of various materials. Examines the manufacturing processes of industry and their effects on materials.Lecture 4 hours per week.
4 credits - IND 116 - Applied Technology
- Introduces basic information and problem solving techniques in liquids, gases, solids, metrics, mechanics, forces, simple machines, heat, light, sound and nuclear energy as applied in industrial engineering technologies.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 121 - Industrial Supervision I
- Introduces the concept of the Supervisor as a Leader. Discusses the role of the Industrial Supervisor in the face of technology advances. Discusses the role of the Industrial Supervisor in leading organizational change and helping employees through transitions. Defines Leadership styles and the selection of the appropriate style. Introduces the Industrial Supervisor as a motivator in terms of job satisfaction, morale, job design competition, communication, and promotions. Presents ethical behavior and dilemmas in organizations.Lecture 3 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 125 - Installation and Preventive Maintenance
- Studies practices in the installation of machinery, including mounting, grouting, leveling, and alignment. Examines methods of preventive maintenance including inspection, scheduled maintenance, controls, record keeping, repair parts stocking, and safety considerations.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 140 - Quality Control
- Studies history, structure, and organization of the quality control unit. May include incoming material control, product and process control, and cost control.Lecture 2 hours per week.
2 credits - IND 146 - Statistical Quality Control
- Studies essentials and application of statistics in quality control function. May include definitions and uses of averages, standard deviations, ranges, and sampling plans. May discuss dependent and independent variables, and distribution probabilities.Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 4 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 150 - Industrial Management
- Studies planning, organizing, directing, and influencing industrial activities. May include research, product design, methods and time management, quality assurance and current manufacturing methodologies.Lecture 3 hours per week.
3 credits - IND 160 - Introduction to Robotics
- Studies evolution and history of robotics with an emphasis on automated and flexible manufacturing. Presents advantages and limitations of present robot systems.Lecture 2-3 hours. Laboratory 0-2 hours. Total 2-4 hours per week.
2-3 credits - IND 165 - Principles of Industrial Technology I
- Introduces principle concepts of technology involving mechanical, fluid, electrical, and thermal power as they relate to force, work, and rate.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 5 hours per week.`
4 credits - IND 166 - Principles of Industrial Technology II
- Introduces principle concepts of technology involving mechanical, fluid, electrical, and thermal power as they relate to resistance, energy, power, and force transformers. Places an emphasis on mechanical and advantage systems.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total 5 hours per week.

- Introduces principle concepts of technology involving momentary waves and vibrations, energy converters, and transducers. Includes the study of unique energy transference.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 2 hors. Total 5 hours per week.
