3-4 credits - PNE 161 - Nursing in Health Changes I
- Focuses on nursing situations and procedures necessary to assist individuals in meeting special needs related to human functions.Lecture 2-4 hours. Laboratory 6-15 hours. Total 10-17 hours per week.
6-7 credits - PNE 162 - Nursing in Health Changes II
- Continues the focus on nursing situations and procedures necessary to assist individuals in meeting special needs related to human functions.Lecture 4-6 hours. Laboratory 12-21 hours. Total 18-25 hours per week.
10-11 credits - PNE 163 - Nursing in Health Changes III
- Continues the focus on nursing situations and procedures necessary to assist individuals in meeting special needs related to human functions.Lecture 4-5 hours. Laboratory 9-15 hours. Total 14-19 hours per week.
8-9 credits - PNE 173 - Pharmacology for Practical Nurses
- Studies history, classification, sources, effects, uses and legalities of drugs. Teaches problem solving skills used in medication administrations. Emphasizes major drug classes and specific agents within each class.Lecture 1-2 hours per week.
1-2 credits - PNE 187 - Nursing Concepts II
- Explores the use of the nursing process to meet the multidimensional needs of individuals and developing families. Includes computer and math computational skills related to the delivery of nursing care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Prerequisite: PNE 186.Lecture 5 hours. Laboratory 12 hours. Total 17 hours per week.
9 credits - PNE 188 - Nursing Concepts III
- Teaches nursing care of individuals and/or families experiencing alterations in health utilizing the nursing process. Includes computer and math computational skills related to the delivery of nursing care. Provides supervised learning experiences in college nursing laboratories and/or cooperating agencies. Prerequisite: PNE 187.Lecture 3 hours. Laboratory 9 hurs. Total 12 hours per week.
6 credits - PNE 193 - Studies In
- Covers new content not covered in existing courses in the discipline. Allows instructor to explore content and instructional methods to assess the course's viability as a permanent offering.Variable hours per week.
